Vert Means Green.

I was a little hesitant when I see Ben Affleck in the credit list of Gone Baby Gone, but I still decided to rent it from Blockbuster for the good reviews it received. I mean, let’s be honest, when is the last good film you saw that stars Ben Affleck?

Living up to the reviews, Gone Baby Gone turned out really enjoyable and left me with the feeling I had when I finished the likes of Crash, or Mystic River. Definitely worth your time if you haven’t already seen it.

But while I was watching the film, the same question bothered me throughout the whole thing:

“What the hell did Ben Affleck do to his face???? He looks so young and different!”

I know botox and god-knows-what surgeries are really common in Hollywood, but I didn’t think people would do it so overtly that it completely changes your impression. If you looked like you’ve stopped aging people give you concession, but when you look a heck lot of younger and different you’re openly announcing you gave in and did something to your face.

But of course, it wasn’t until later that I found out Casey Affleck stars in Gone Baby Gone, and Ben Affleck is the director/ writor.

My bad. But how could I have known? Ben Affleck’s name appears so often in the credits, I just made that assumption….

Aaaaanyway, if you haven’t seen the flick, you have my recommandation on this one!
